The Hacienda Lodge was instituted on April 17, 1966, 45 years ago, when one of the Founding Members, Ozzie Mangiagli made a promise to ”Papa” Iannarone that he would start a new Sons of Italy Lodge. The lodge sponsored a scholarship in Ozzie’s name for many a number of years.

Why Join the Hacienda Lodge ?

If you are an American-Italian descent, living in the 25 mile vicinity, and you want to know more about Italian culture, language, and heritage, it is vital that you join the Order Sons of Italy. You will be amazed how much you can learn about all of it. The Hacienda Lodge is one of 62 other lodges in California. The information offered by the Hacienda Lodge derives from multiple sources, local, state and national. Since the Sons of Italy in America, was instituted in 1905, 105 years ago, by an Italian Dr. named Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro, in New York, who saw the necessity to help Italians who came from different parts of Italy to America. To this day, the Sons of Italy is doing just that. Offers scholarships to students, supports charities to cure diseases. As a fraternal organization, the Order is not to make money, the money we collect we donate. The local lodges, the Grand Lodge and the Supreme Lodge have one thing in common, help others. For this very reason we hope that you will join our lodge.
